Step 1: Separate the food processor parts.

How to clean a food processor? Most clean food processors have some parts where you will need to remove the top of the device, remove the ejector, fix the blade, and remove the electric motor’s cutting disc. Leftover food scraps can lurk in any of the sections above.

Therefore, you will need everything separate to clean the food processor. You pay attention to place the blade in a different place because it requires careful cleaning.

Step 2: Clean the blade

The advice is that you should clean the blade from the very beginning, even after using it. Because doing this will help maintain sharpness for longer. The reason is that any moisture from food ingredients or prolonged immersion can lubricate the food processor’s blades.

Besides, if you regularly protect the food processor will help the food from drying out and adheres to inside openings or where the joint is attached to the blade. Therefore, these blades will be easier to wash after you use them. You should be careful not to make them less sharp on your own, and you should carefully scrub it with soap using a gentle sponge.

Ultimately, it would help if you dried the blade with a soft, dry cloth, which will keep it from getting damp that could lead to corrosion.

Step 3: Wash the detachable parts.

One suggestion is that you can wash all the food processor parts in warm water with dish soap. If you don’t want to wash them off right away, just let them soak up for a while. Note that you should not clean the parts of the clean food processor with harsh detergents or rough and hard sponges. You can also wash the food processor’s removable components (except the stainless steel blade) in the dishwasher.

Step 4: Clean the base/motor

It would help if you used a damp and soft cloth and wiped the base and motor thoroughly. Note that you should not immerse the food processor in water or pour water on the base or motor. Merely using a mild powder soap or a baking soda mixture can help remove persistent stains.

Step 5: Dry and reset

In the end, you need to dry the parts of this kitchen appliance completely. In case you frequently use the food processor, please keep it dry before using it.

Advice for you:

If your food processor smells bad, mix baking soda and water in a 1-1 ratio. Then keep the solution in the work bowl for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse it off with rechargeable water. This is because baking soda absorbs odors that are still present in the food processor’s work bowl.

Next, you should use a nylon brush to clean the stainless steel blade without causing much danger to the user. Also, to clean the food processor’s feeding tube, you will likely want a small iron brush inside the tube. Be sure to thoroughly dry all openings to prevent bacteria from growing or damaging the device.

Does the moveable spindle assembly under the bowl on the main unit of the food processor need to be oiled if it feels stiff? When removed after use there is black residue on the base. Is this wear on the machine from somewhere?
